[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1753804] [NEW] versions 4.4.0-108 and up hang on reboot; HP 8300 Elite CMT

2018-03-06 Thread Nick Fankhauser
Public bug reported: Shutdown works fine. On Reboot, the system hangs. This is a problem on the current kernel (4.4.0.116) and appears to have been introduced in 4.4.0.106, 107 or 108. I make this assertion because I have version 4.4.0.105 and version 4.4.0.108 available on my computer.

I installed 4.4.120-0404120-generic. Is this the version you intended? This fixed my problem. Thank you! Added kernel-fixed-upstream tag and changed status to Confirmed as requested. Advice requested: At this point, should I just keep running this kernel until the regular release process
