Default state if cable unplugged is:

[Compaq Presario CQ60-300EO Notebook PC] kernel doesn't recognize
backlight fn keys
Status in linux
I've updated my description with my info. I hope, now there will be some
kind of solution. Thanks in advance!
** Description changed:
Just tried the daily build and - as I expected, because I tried many
times - if I try to use my Wacom tablet, the whole system freezes.
I'm not sure what
It's issue [2]: I have exactly Wacom One S.
So, in this case the patch must arrive at some point in the kernel, right? Then
I wait, until something happens. I have a backup tablet (from Genius), but it
doesn't have the same precision. Anyways, thanks for the update!

Tried to see if a new version of the kernel is patched and 4.4.8 does
the job. Since it's a point release of the LTS version, I don't
understand why is Ubuntu still on 4.4.0, when it's the stable branch of
the Linux kernel. Or...graphics designers and illustrators don't worth
to use Ubuntu? This
Just pulled down from the Mainline FTP Linux Kernel 4.4.17, my system
works and the problem is solved...manually. Is this still happening? Is

distro contain a bug like this? And what if somebody else (a beginner
user) runs into
I have the same issue. Running Linux Mint with latest kernel.
Kernel: Linux 4.19.9-041909-generic #201812130432 SMP Thu Dec 13 09:34:53 UTC
2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
It takes me disabling bluetooth, deleting the profile, re-enabling
bluetooth, and putting the mouse back in pairing mode
The system is new so I can't comment whether it was better using a
previous ubuntu version.
I'll try to run the latest upstream kernel now and report later the
results.

I was testing with mainline/v4.20-rc3 but it was unusable on my machine:
running the Quadro P3200 with the nouveau driver created a completely
broken display (the nVidia 390 drivers are fine, though). At least this
behavior is is identical between 4.18.0-11 and mainline/v4.20-rc3
So unless I have
Hi Kai-Heng Feng,
Do you have a link to a process that I can use to test your patch? Many
thanks.
