There is no change, even the latest 3.2.0-58 Kernel does not support the RT3290, it states no Kernel driver loaded. The problem is solved for me, I stay with the 3.2.0-54 Kernel, there are no problems with the Chip from Ralink! ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Fix

I do not understand why it is so difficult to fix this bug. There is not mysterious feature in the new kernel that prevents the WiFi to work. The root cause is a minor syntactically issue in the source: 1) structure / content of the kernel header files changed 2) this makes the re-compilation of

I have the same problem. A kernel update in October screwed up the wireless card. When I boot the laptop ( HP 655 Ubuntu certified) I can choose which kernel I want to use. I choose for 3.2.0-32. It was installed when i bought the notebook. 3.2.0-55 and 3.2.0-56 kernels both screw the wireless

Hello Joseph, thank you very much for the answer, I just can state that the Ralink Corp RT3290 Wireless 802.11 n works with Kernel 3.2.0-54 Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-Bit but not with Kernel 3.2.0-55. I can try a new kernel when it is available, or any other idea? Thank you once more for trying to help
