Thanks for testing. There must be a Saucy patch(s) in Ubuntu to allow your system to boot that is missing from Mainline. Can you also give the 3.5 final kernel a shot, since you see this in 12.10. If we can't get that kernel to boot, we can just bisect with Ubuntu kernels instead of upstream
