Hello Robert, I appended the kernel boot parameters|i8042.notimeout i8042.nomux |as recommended inhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=148115. That left the problem that after sleep modus, the touchpad doesn't work any more. I will try to append furthermore the parameter i8042.reset what I found recommended for an older Fujitsu-Siemens Laptop _http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Archiv/Fujitsu-Siemens_Lifebook_S-6120_ . Hello Christopher, I just had a look at the mentioned BIOS update and the following functionality will be provided: BIOS Version History: Current BIOS V. 1.15: Solved problems: - Change CPU thermal management - Disable SATA Aggressive Link Power. - Fix Fan speed will always high after 3Dmark 11 running. - Fix problem with Toshiba HDD Aquarious-BKnown errors, problems and restrictions: - None That does not sound as if it would fix my problems with the touchpad and in fact the touchpad works under Windows. I am pretty sure that the problem is on Linux side and my personal wild guess is that there is a new IF to the driver.
