Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
After upgrading my ubuntu from 13.10 to 14.04 LTS, I cannot mount my
Nexus 4 (Android 4.4.2) using MTP.

As soon as I plug the device in any USB port, I get the following
error message: "Unhandled error message: No such interface
'org.gtk.vfs.Mount' on object at path /org/gtk/vfs/mount/1"

Yesterday, before the upgrade, I had to just plug the USB cable and
the device was mounted automatically just like a pen-drive.

Please, somebody take a look on this issue.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1311382] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 does not mount my Nexus 4 (Android 4.4.2)

2015-03-05 Thread MarcoAntonio
Using Ubuntu 14.04, I used:
sudo sed -i 's/#user_allow_other/user_allow_other/g' /etc/fuse.conf
and this solved my problem.
This solution was described at
http://www.webupd8.org/2013/01/upgrade-to-gvfs-with-mtp-support-in.html

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1311382] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 does not mount my Nexus 4 (Android 4.4.2)

2014-11-08 Thread Len Williams
I had similar issue with Samsung Galaxy 10.1 2014 SM P605 and running
Linux Mint 16.

The connection worked fine with Caja until I rooted the tablet, then I
got the No such interface 'org.gtk.vfs.Mount' on object at path
/org/gtk/vfs/mount/1 message.

Checked out http://www.webupd8.org/2013/01/upgrade-to-gvfs-with-mtp-
support-in.html, and Un-commented user_allow_other in /etc/fuse.conf.

Now all works fine as before.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1311382] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 does not mount my Nexus 4 (Android 4.4.2)

2014-11-01 Thread Ruoyun Huang
Have the same issue. When can we have a resolution?

Got error message says Unable to mount Nexus 4 UNable to open MTP
device [USB:003, 010].

And the error message just keeps pop up.

I am sure it is not due to hardware issue, b/c I also have windows
installed on this desktop. My nexus 4 works PERFECTLY on windows
system.

Ubuntu 14.04 does not mount my Nexus 4 (Android 4.4.2)

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
After upgrading my ubuntu from 13.10 to 14.04 LTS, I cannot mount my
Nexus 4 (Android 4.4.2) using MTP.

As soon as I plug the device in any USB port, I get the following
error message: Unhandled error message: No such interface
'org.gtk.vfs.Mount' on object at path /org/gtk/vfs/mount/1

Yesterday, before the upgrade, I had to just plug the USB cable and
the device was mounted automatically just like a pen-drive.

Please, somebody take a look on this issue.

It turns out the phone didn't have MTP enabled. To turn it on:

Settings - Storage - options -USB computer connection - Media device
(MTP)

Now it automounts nicely.

I am having the same problem in three different system. One laptop and
two desktops. It seems unlikely to me that it can be a hardware problem.
Maybe a problem with the driver.
