tried installing kdump package "linux-crashdump" using apt-get.
  "apt-get install linux-crashdump" 

  And after package installation it will stuck and will not give prompt.

I've tested this on PowerNV, and linux-crashdump installs without error.
update-grub works as well. This must be specific to grub2 and PowerVM.

  I have installed ubuntu15.04 daily build (20150318). After installation i 
tried installing kdump package "linux-crashdump" using apt-get.
  "apt-get install linux-crashdump" 

  And after package installation it will stuck and will not give prompt.
  here is output:
