Hi. I'm having this issue on Elementary and Xubuntu with the same card (HD6870), but Firefox doesn't need to be running. Unity and Gnome apparently fixed the issue since vlc works really well. Does anybody know where could be the issue on Elementary. Setting the radeon.dpm=0 makes the problem
