[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1588965] Re: [Hyper-V] fixes for kdump when running on a VM

2016-06-23 Thread Chris Valean
The missing patch itself doesn't resolve the kdump issues by itself, but
nevertheless it should be taken in.

Please merge this one and we'll follow-up in 1400319 with the kdump
functionality not working as expected all the time.
Thank you!

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1588965] Re: [Hyper-V] fixes for kdump when running on a VM

2016-06-14 Thread Kamal Mostafa
This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves
the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the
results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-
xenial' to 'verification-done-xenial'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how
to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!

2016-06-03 Thread Tim Gardner
Only bbf66d897adf2bb0c310db96c97e8db6369f39e1 ('clocksource: Allow
unregistering the watchdog') was required. All other commits are already
in Xenial.
