Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1633943] Re: No Wifi Resuming After Suspend
The mainline kernel seems to work on an initial test. uname -r: 4.9.0-040900rc1-generic Linux version 4.9.0-040900rc1-generic (kernel@tangerine) (gcc version 6.2.0 20161005 (Ubuntu 6.2.0-5ubuntu12) ) #201610151630 SMP Sat Oct 15 20:33:39 UTC 2016 I notice that although the connection is made the tray NM does not notify the connection correctly. See attached. Unfortunately I cannot capture the mouse-over info. Thanks On 20/10/16 05:25, Joseph Salisbury wrote: > Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1633943] Re: No Wifi Resuming After Suspend
Yes there was no problem with my initial 16.04 installation. It did start after one of the kernel updates but I cannot tell you which one. I have just done a kernel update to uname -r : 4.4.0-45-generic with the same result. See attached screenshot of ifconfig and iwconfig. Previous kernel 4.4.0-43-generic exhibited the same behaviour. I will try the mainline kernel and advise back again. Thanks On 20/10/16 05:25, Joseph Salisbury wrote: > Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1633943] Re: No Wifi Resuming After Suspend
Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.9 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed". Thanks in advance.
