[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1746837] Re: Add support for Realtek card reader RTL8411B [10EC:5287]

2020-10-20 Thread Vladimir Makhnychev
I'm still experiencing this issue on kernel 5.4.0-51-generic. The driver
is missing, and the reader fails to recognize some types of SD cards.

I tried installing linux-oem-osp1, nothing has improved.

On bionic, you may also want to try linux-oem-osp1 package, which has
kernel driver rtl841l identical to current mainline kernel.

2019-10-03 Thread zwn
I am using 4.15.0-65-generic x86_64 and the reader is not working. I am
getting

mmc0: error -110 whilst initialising SD card

message in dmesg. Which 4.15 kernel was working for anyone?

2018-02-23 Thread Alex
My mistake, it does' work on upstream kernel 4.15, although the ethernet
adapter does break.

2018-02-06 Thread Alex
Confirmed to be not working on upstream kernel v4.15!
My ethernet adapter also stops working on upstream kernel v4.15, but I guess
that's another issue.

Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411
PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller

Thank you for putting in the good work kind sir :)

2018-02-06 Thread Joseph Salisbury
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.15 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
"Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
