I've just realized with some help that the code for this feature is in the
proposed kernel 4.15.0-12.13. Yet there was no update to this bug to notify.
Does it look good? Am I expected to validate on that kernel version?

The code for this feature is available in kernel 4.16-rc1, and we'd like to
backport the following 13 patches for 18.04. They should apply cleanly on a
4.15 kernel:
