You may close this bug. The problem does not relate to Ubuntu directly. It was the issue of indexing in Phpstorm for symlinked folders and folders with cached temporary data. I still did not what you asked; but bug has appeared again. It looks it is strictly related to memory consumption by Java because it appears hourly (or so) when large projects are opened in Phpstorm. I still did not what you asked; but after recent standard update the situation has slightly improved. The system crashes once per day but not once per hour. (At least it was so during recent several days.) As I remember, it is somewhat worse than it was much earlier (when it crashed once per several days) but much more better than recently. Right now the system freezed on opening complex js widget in Chromium with opened debugger. No Firefox and no Youtube were opened. So, it looks freezing occurs mainly on any kind of operations requiring relatively heavy processor work.
