[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1781049] Re: WiFI hard blocked after resuming laptop (RTL 8723BE)
Hello! I've tested the rc1 release kernel (4.19.0-041900rc1-generic), and sure enough, the bug persists. WiFi hard-blocked after suspend-resume. Driver issues can be ruled out as I've installed a new wifi card form intel (Wireless 3165, iwlwifi driver: 4.19.0-041900rc1-generic, firmware: 29.1044073957.0) and the problem exists with both the cards, on both the kernel versions. As far as I know, from dmesg, reports that some hardware switch is being flipped, while there is none on my model (HP AB035TX - Manual here [0]). The 'Airplane Mode' key only works on soft blocks. Any solutions are really helpful! Thank you very much for your time! [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1781049] Re: WiFI hard blocked after resuming laptop (RTL 8723BE)
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.19-rc1 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed". Thanks in advance.
