Wifi adapter not found after suspend (iwlwifi)

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Hello,

I am finding that the network adapter " Network controller: Intel Corporation
Wireless 7260 (rev bb)
" (iwlwifi) is reported as disabled, or not present after a lengthy suspend.
This is an identical issue to those reported for Realtek, but I have not found
an existing report for Intel.

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1779817

This was no a problem in 16.04 or 17.10 with the identical hardware.
  18.04 was installed clean.

Happy to provide more information, however, I am not exactly sure what
  information to provide?

  Thanks in advance,

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1788073] Re: Wifi adapter not found after suspend (iwlwifi)

2018-10-11 Thread hardyn
The problem also affects the "airplane mode". The loss of wifi
connectivity can be restored by entering and exiting airplane mode
provides the option to reenable the wifi board. Additionally, using the
fn+ key combination airplane mode can be manually entered, but not
exited. (which seems to be a common 18.04 problem, with a simple web
search).

I have just updated to the latest Dell firmware version for this device
with no improvement.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1788073] Re: Wifi adapter not found after suspend (iwlwifi)

2018-08-22 Thread Joseph Salisbury
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.18 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
"Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

an existing report for Intel.

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1779817

This was no a problem in 16.04 or 17.10 with the identical hardware.
  18.04 was installed clean.

Happy to provide more information, however, I am not exactly sure what
  information to provide?

  Thanks in advance,

Title:
Wifi adapter not found after suspend (iwlwifi)

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Hello,

I am finding that the network adapter " Network controller: Intel Corporation
Wireless 7260 (rev bb)
" (iwlwifi) is reported as disabled, or not present after a lengthy suspend.
This is an identical issue to those reported for Realtek, but I have not found
an existing report for Intel.
