Public bug reported: There is no need to build the Amazon ENA ethernet driver for snapdragon.
Unset CONFIG_ENA_ETHERNET in {bionic,disco,eoan}/snapdragon. And in bionic this allows CONFIG_DIMLIB to be unset (but not for >= Disco, as other drivers also use DIMLIB in those newer kernels). ** Affects: linux-snapdragon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Kamal Mostafa (kamalmostafa) Status: In Progress ** Affects: linux-snapdragon (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: linux-snapdragon (Ubuntu Disco) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: linux-snapdragon (Ubuntu Eoan) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux-snapdragon (Ubuntu Disco) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux-snapdragon (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux-snapdragon (Ubuntu Eoan) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: There is no need to build the Amazon ENA ethernet driver for snapdragon. - Unset CONFIG_ENA_ETHERNET in bionic/snapdragon and disco/snapdragon. + Unset CONFIG_ENA_ETHERNET in {bionic,disco,eoan}/snapdragon. - And in bionic this allows CONFIG_DIMLIB to be unset (but not in Disco, - as other drivers also use DIMLIB in Disco). + And in bionic this allows CONFIG_DIMLIB to be unset (but not for >= + Disco, as other drivers also use DIMLIB in those newer kernels). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-snapdragon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1859501 Title: disable ENA ethernet driver on snapdragon Status in linux-snapdragon package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in linux-snapdragon source package in Bionic: New Status in linux-snapdragon source package in Disco: New Status in linux-snapdragon source package in Eoan: New Bug description: There is no need to build the Amazon ENA ethernet driver for snapdragon.
