[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1876951] Re: Ubuntu 20.04 - freeze on latest kernel

2020-06-29 Thread thrantir
with temperature increase the latest kernel seems to be not usable (cpu
temperature goes too high and system shutdown do tu hw protection).
Luckly the latest 20.04 kernel (5.4.0.39) seems to not be affected by
this proble anymore, so I switched again on the official packetized
kernel

Got the latest 5.7.0 from https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1876951] Re: Ubuntu 20.04 - freeze on latest kernel

2020-05-29 Thread thrantir
ok, I'll try as soon as I can. I tried now the latest stable one 5.4.0.33, same
bug
I noticed that the CPU temperature during the 1-2 minutes before system freeze,
were a bit higher than on 5.4.0.26 kernel (the only I can use right now)

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1876951] Re: Ubuntu 20.04 - freeze on latest kernel

2020-05-21 Thread thrantir
Tried today te latest 5.0.31, same problem
I tried 5.0.31 low latency too, I could use with no issue for some minutes, but
I cannot use it as it seems to overheat my CPU (about 20° overn the temperature
I have now with 5.0.26)
