[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1880656] Re: Fix incorrect speed/duplex when I210 device is runtime suspended
This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed- focal' to 'verification-done-focal'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-focal' to 'verification-failed-focal'. If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you! ** Tags added: verification-needed-focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1880656 Title: Fix incorrect speed/duplex when I210 device is runtime suspended Status in HWE Next: New Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in linux-oem-5.6 package in Ubuntu: New Status in linux-oem-osp1 package in Ubuntu: New Status in linux source package in Bionic: Invalid Status in linux-oem-5.6 source package in Bionic: Won't Fix Status in linux-oem-osp1 source package in Bionic: New Status in linux source package in Focal: Fix Committed Status in linux-oem-5.6 source package in Focal: New Status in linux-oem-osp1 source package in Focal: Won't Fix Bug description: [Impact] When I210 device is runtime suspended, trying to read speed or duplex from sysfs causes an error: [ 385.991957] igb :03:00.0 enp3s0: PCIe link lost [Fix] Only try to read the device register when it's not runtime suspended.
