This bug is awaiting verification that the linux-mtk/5.15.0-1036.43
kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and
update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the
tag 'verification-needed-jammy-linux-mtk' to 'verification-done-jammy-
linux-mtk'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-
needed-jammy-linux-mtk' to 'verification-failed-jammy-linux-mtk'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how
to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 2085082] Re: Cannot detect audio sinks and sources in proposed kernel

2024-11-18 Thread Ubuntu Kernel Bot
This bug is awaiting verification that the linux-raspi/5.15.0-1066.69
kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and
update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the
tag 'verification-needed-jammy-linux-raspi' to 'verification-done-jammy-
linux-raspi'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-
needed-jammy-linux-raspi' to 'verification-failed-jammy-linux-raspi'.

2024-11-01 Thread Stefan Bader
Since this is not fatal (in the sense that one can detect no audio when
the hw is affected and temporarily revert back to boot the old kernel) I
want to still release the new kernel (both Jammy GA and Focal HWE). And
apply the revert to the next security cycle which will release in 2
weeks. This is to not leave those kernels behind too long or delay the
next cycle.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 2085082] Re: Cannot detect audio sinks and sources in proposed kernel

2024-10-28 Thread Chris Chiu
It might be caused by the
https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/18166b3903981821f2877c7f3c45f8cba89d3cfa
between .124 and .125.

There's a upstream revert
https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/233a95fd574fde1c375c486540a90304a2d2d49f
to fix it.
