This reminds me on a former position I had as a head-of-engineering
when I asked our IT to setup a Linux server just to run git + some backup
scripts on it. It was a nightmare to get that moving as they were
unable/unwilling to deal with Linux at all and never heard of source code
management!!?!
Well, they were carrying the passwords of all employees on a piece of paper
with them all the time... :-D
