Just to emphasize something that Jon mentioned but is easily overlooked: The icon must be authored in Inkscape. It cannot be created in Illustrator and saved to an SVG file for use in Inkscape. The reason for this is that SVG files can be created in many different ways that give the same visual

Hi Markus, Adding a new icon is certainly possible. There are some guidelines here: https://dev-docs.kicad.org/en/rules-guidelines/icon-design/ In particular, the icon must be added with an appropriate SVG source file authored in Inkscape and with the appropriate (CC-BY-SA) license attribute

Hi Mark, That image appears to be a version of the 3d Connexion corporate logo (which I expect you would anticipate on being a Trademark item). As such I don’t think it would be appropriate to have it within an open-source software package, it would be troublesome to get it across the line on
