I agree strongly with Cirillo.
The Kicad repository should only have user’s contributed libraries.
Taking Eagle parts, and converting them with a script might seems acceptable,
but it will most likely a source of complaints from users, as they may not be
100% compatible with KiCad. I once used
I have not followed the discussion very closely as I am away from home until
end of January, but I would like to make a comment as I see that a lot of
people are confused by te concept of courtyard. The confusion is very
understandable as since the advent of SMT, the courtyard is very close to
resistors,
IPC-7351 states a nominal courtyard excess of 0.15mm. See here, page 13. The

nnn brings some good points, but let’s get realistic.
Assembly documentation is more and more in digital form and paper is slowly
disappearing from the manufacturing floor.
We need to look at their value in different process steps.
1- SMT Assembly drawing has ZERO value there, except in the
in 40+ years of electronic manufacturing, I almost never saw values in silk

RefDes are fine for sparse boards, but useless with very dense boards.
Values could be on some user layer, or maybe in one of the ECO layers.

Merry Christmas / Hannukah / All other to everyone.
Jan,
Why do you prefix your SMT packages with DIP?
For everyone in the electronic industry, DIP always mean Through Hole package.
Your naming conventions are really misleading.

Hi Everyone,
I have been following the kicad library development for a while,
and I have a question.
I am starting a new project and I want to use a low noise amplifier
made by TI (ex burr brown) OPA1632.
I was hoping to find it in the library, but I can’t find it.
