Re: [kicad-users] DXF Import
Thank you for the detailed description of a challenging process. I wouldn't have the patience any more. Thanks; the alternatives for me would have required even more effort, so I was rather driven :). Once one knows what has to be done, it's not too bad (especially if you have control over the production of the mechanical drawings). The 393 is the inverse of 254 (mm/in mod 10) so it appears that something somewhere thought there were imperial units in use. I would guess that 1.0 (or decimal multiples thereof) 254 (and decimal multiples thereof) and 393 (and, yes, decimal multiples thereof) will be the only converson factors needed. doh! How did I miss that?! I was forgetting that Kicad uses imperial base units. Regards, Robert. No virus found in this outgoing message. Obviously KiCAD is multi-platform, with a large portion of users running Win32 OSs. Please, dont forget us, Linux users ;) I'm a Linux user, so you can sleep easy :) And I don't imagine there would be any issues compiling for Windows (GLib is the only dep, and that will eventually be removed). I'm thinking of moving it out into a library with a command line interface (at least for testing). It can then be integrated into KiCAD in whatever way works best. Best Wishes, Anthony

[kicad-users] microSD (uSD) socket library and/or module?
Hi! Does anyone have a KiCAD part library and/or module for a microSD connector? Preferably one of these: Hirose DM3D-SF http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detailname=HR1941CT-ND Sparkfun PRT-00127 http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=127 All the PCBs I've done so far have been standard (obsolete) PTH 0.1 style construction for DIP/DIL style parts. This will be my first SMT related component added as an option to the Sparkfun uSD break out board BOB-00544: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=544 Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Have a nice day! Andrew Lynch
