Hi, Sante
The xml files in the corpus (or which you select) are used only for
population. Lucene stores and indexes them and the xmls are no longer
needed. Their content is accessible through the KIM interface.
Lucene is integrated into KIM, so no additional steps are required to
install it and set it up.
