[Koha] Problems with Hold in Koha 3.4

I am a very new user of Koha - and we are about to go live - we are a single library, no branches. I had been using 3.2.successfully in a trial situation and decided to upgrade to 3.4.2 before going live. However, when we try to place holds we get the following 'None of these items can
