[Koha] MySql keeps crashing

Our IT recently updated our virtual computer from Debian 6 to 9, and updated Koha from 3.18 to 18.11. However, it seems on a daily basis, the mysql server keeps crashing and either we have to restart the computer or IT does some other magic. Has anyone encountered this error before? Does it have
