Re: [Koha] Email Notices gone crazy

2017-02-05 Thread Bob Birchall
Jane this sounds quite strange. Usually though behaviour only changes
in response to a change in the system. When did you upgrade? Has
anything else changed, such as circulation rules, alert preferences or
overdue notice triggers? Check the circ rules to make sure you don't
have a Hard Due Date set.

I suggest you recover some errant notices from the borrowers and study
them. Does the information in the notices match that in your Koha
system? Try to trace the source of any difference. If you still think
there is an error, report it here, but please be specific.

Best wishes,

Re: [Koha] Email notices

2014-11-12 Thread Jonathan Druart
Hello Paul,

If I am not wrong, the DUEDGST (and DUE) is used when you set advanced
notices to 0 day, otherwise it's PREDUEDGST (and PREDUE).

To loop on items, you should use the item tag.

The default messaging preferences will only affect new patrons. But you can
use misc/maintenance/borrowers-force-messaging-defaults to update existing
ones.

Could you please open a new bug [1] and detail how you recreate the
duplicated notification?

Regards,
Jonathan

Re: [Koha] email notices about hold awaiting

2014-10-23 Thread Arslan Farooq
Hi,

So the thing is that when we check-in the book, we get the Hold Found
slip.

We press Confirm Hold and an email will be generated to the guy in
hold queue.

If we pressed Ignore on the slip then an email will not be sent to the
next guy in hold queue. We'll need to re-check-in the book and the
confirm Hold slip will appear again, and we press the Confirm Hold
button. An email will be sent.

But if first person cancel his hold after receiving email for holds
awaiting pick up, System does not send email to the person in queue. So He
 can Pick it from library.

In 3.16.4, I don't see an option for the user to cancel or suspend hold
that's already waiting to be picked. See: http://i.imgur.com/4WoRkPy.png

[Koha] email notices about hold awaiting

2014-10-22 Thread Saira Asghar
Dear All

I am using Ubuntu Koha 3.16. I am facing an issue. When 2 or 3 persons
reserved an issued book system sets priority for them. As that issued book
returned in library, system send an auto generated email (Hold awaiting for
pick up) to the person who is at first priority. when that person issues
this book and return it in the library, system send an email for holds
awaiting pick up to the person in queue and so on...

But if first person cancel his hold after receiving email for holds
awaiting pick up, System does not send email to the person in queue. So He
can Pick it from library.

Would anyone please tell what should do for this situation. If patron at
first priority cancel his hold, system should send an email to the other in
queue.
