To test, apply the patch and check in some items. - After each checkin the returned item should appear in the table of checkouts. - Check in an item which belongs to another branch. You will be asked to confirm that the items requires a transfer. When the page reloads you should see the same previous checkins in the table. - Check in that same item again. You will be again asked to confirm. Before this page, confirming the transfer would reload the page and clear the list of checkins. Now the page should reload and the table of checkins should still show the previously checked-in items. Test all the actions when checking in an item which is already in transit: OK, Print transfer slip, and Cancel transfer. Testing and finding out the limits don't work is confusing. It would be more intuitive to just use the feature in the background without having to mess with any extra sysprefs. Or set the aforementioned sysprefs in the branch_transfer_limits.pl -page. This patch adds a simple warning if syspref 'UseBranchTransferLimits' is not activated. This patch adds, at the OPAC, a link "Browse selected biblios >>" when at least one biblio is checked. You can choose biblios from several page, not the current one. In this way, checkboxes already checked become again checked when you come back on this results page. After clicking the link, the "Browse results" block is filled with selected biblios, not (like as the current behavior) with the classic results. Test plan: - Launch a search at the OPAC - Check some biblios - Go on another page - Check some biblios - Come back to the first page and check that already checked biblio is automatically checked. - Click on the "Browse selected biblios >>" link - Check that you are able to browse results you had checked. There are several cases where confirming or dismissing the modal unnecessarily reloads the page. In cases where no server-side action is necessary, the modal should be dismissed without submitting a form. To test, apply the patch and go to Circulation -> Check in With AutomaticItemReturn enabled and AllowReturnToBranch set to "any library," - Check in an item which belongs at another library and is not already in-transit. In the confirmation modal which appears, clicking the "OK" button should close the modal without reloading the page. - Check in another item from anther branch. In the confirmation modal clicking the "Print slip" button should trigger a pop-up window for printing a slip but the modal should be dismissed without reloading the page. - Check in an item which is already in-transit to another branch. In the confirmation modal, clicking either the "OK" or "Print transfer slip" buttons should dismiss the modal without reloading the page. - Clicking the "Cancel transfer" button should work as before: The page reloads and the transfer is canceled. With AutomaticItemReturn disabled, - Check in an item belonging to another library. The confirmation modal should ask you whether you want to "Transfer now?" Clicking "No" should dismiss the modal without reloading the page. The other options should reload the page and initiate the transfer. With AllowReturnToBranch set to "only the library the item is from," - Check in an item belonging to another library. You should see a "Cannot check in" modal. You shouldn't be able to do that. 6/ Try to place holds on staff interface and OPAC. The behaviour must be identical than before the patch.
