not sure if GetMarcBiblio would be the best spot, but I like the idea in
general, especially as an optional switch. Maybe file a bug report for
further discussion?

Actually, what I was thinking was possibly adding a field to the “branches”
table to specify a user to use, and not requiring a password. Of course, if you
don’t require a password, someone could specify any user they want, so that
won’t work either.
