implies (and I do not have time to dedicate to this right now), but I feel

It sounds like these changes will touch lot of areas in Koha that are
waiting to be rewritten/cleaned.

I am glad to see the work done. I updated 2 tabs of the document and it
is cool to see the work that had be accomplished since january (I see it
regularly but I changed a lot of cells today ;). Of course work remains

If I am reading about possible impact on holds functionality, I guess that we
could better prioritize finishing REST API and moving to DBIx/Koha::Object.

I've now read the RFC, but I don't understand your comment. My point was
more that the 952 duplicates a lot of fields that are in MARC holdings
records. If you're saying that people would use MARC holdings records plus
the item database fields that convert to the 952... that just seems
