Hi Ingrid,
thx for explaining! It's always great to learn new things about
libraries and how they work in other places.
Maybe file an enhancement request on bugzilla? It might help you to find
other libraries with a similar requirement:

Hi, I work with Camila, I'm a librarian! Together we're helping the
libraries to install, customize and migrate data to Koha.
The problem is, in Brazil it is very popular to ask a password to the
patrons before the check-out. It is a local practice.

This statement should be on your library bulletin board or student
handbook, or circulation rules, not in the ILS, Koha.

Thank you for your response.
The patrons are not using the staff interface. The librarians when checking
out a book for a patron (at the staff interface) want this patron to confirm
with their password. Something to mean as "I agree to check this book and
return it at the proper date".
I had a lo
No, there is not a way to do that, afaik.
Why are patrons using the staff interface? Its for librarians. The OPAC
is for patrons.
It sounds like you need to investigate the Self Check-Out Module, as
Katrin advised you a few days ago. See the manual.

Yes, I have a circulation rule.
The problem is that the library staff wants the patron to use its password
(inside the staff interface) as way to confirm that the books are being
checked out and should be returned in 14 days.
Is there any way I can do that?

Have you created a circulation rule?

Hi,
how are you issuing the book? From the staff interface, the web based
self check or a SIP2 based self check?
