Ron, Bill Clapp has the PVC tubes in his wing tanks. Not sure it was irrigation tubing. Pretty sure Bill just used PVC and it looked like 2 each 3 " tubes. Should be able to find pictures and details of it somewhere on Mark Langford's site on one of the KR Gathering photos collections.

Just a thought but has anyone looked at building a fuel tank into the wing similar to the tanks on a Piper Cherokee ?. Basically just a notch into the leading edge of the wing back to the spar with the tank shaped to match the airfoil and screwed into place. Easily removable for service and

I looked at using the irrigation pipes for tanks, but changed my mind. Cost, not sure if sealing my be a problem, weight, length of tube & fuel sloshing a round etc. etc so made up aluminium tanks approx 8gals in each outer wing. plus header tank 4 gals. Got the ideas from someone else on the
