My Tiny Tach recently died after nine years in service. The hours still showed but it wouldn't read RPM anymore, so I didn't think it was the non-replacable battery (actually it is replacable, but requires a little bit of cutting and soldering). So I sent it back to Tiny Tach for maintenance and

As luck would have it, I am having a problem with my tach. No function. It is a UMA 19-806-10G which is the UMA spec tach for the VW motor. It is triggered by the P lead off my slick mag. I have checked for good ground, and 12 volts on the positive side. I do not know how to check the Plead
