Hello everyone,
I just received my new canopy from Todd's today. It's been quite an eerie nice
today. First when I went to the trucking company to pick it up, I was told the
box was "crushed and punctured"! I dismantled the box on the dock before
accepting the shipment, but much to my relief,
That's why I am going for welded ally tanks. I don't think you will get
anything stronger and will give the highest capacity for a given outer
dimension.

I have already passed the point of no return on my fuel system but for all of
you guys that are still contemplating 5 inch aluminum tubes in the outer wing.
How about using a larger tube such as a 12 inch and compress it to fit the
airfoil design. I would think that a plywood box could be built
"I tested the PVC water pipes and found that the fuel would weep through
the sealed pipe until it was all gone in about three months.
I am also testing Vinyl fence posts. I brought the test items to the
Gatherings at MVN several times"
The proof is in the testing but it really begs the question

outside the terminal
Don't you have a concern about cold weather and the vinyl?cracking?? I would
think a thin wall aluminum tube would be a much better choice..
