Chris,
As you probably know already, weight is more of a state-of-mind than
anything else. If weight is the priority, then one must ask, why do I need
a 17g spar, when a 7g is perfectly adequate for a normal flight, why do I
have a wood spar, when Marske style portruded carbon one is much
I think the pitch sensitivity is more a function of the design -
specifically the elevator:horiz-stab surface area ratio...

Larry; we have to meet and drink some rootbeer! My TriPacer was cheaper tham a
KR ($9000), never burped, flew me to high mountain meadows and wild beaches in
Oregon, Silicon Valley in CA, and I sold her for $12,500! She paid me to fly
her. Very sweet experience!

Hi Dan.
Are you going to install an electric contact/reaker switch on the flap
screwjack?
Will you install a download spring to keep the spoilers down during slow
flight?

Peter, there's a relay block and overload breaker unit that goes with the
actuator. Plus I'll protect the circuit with a panel breaker.
Haven't hooked up the springs yet on the spoilers. Trying to keep it all
simple. At least from now on. I'll start closing the wing next week.

Hi All, I asked Rotec for pricing and got the following product info email with
pricing. In particular, the compares to Ellison were interesting: (leaving the
rest for context, I in no way endorse any carb solution, and don't yet know
enough about the topic!)
Auto gas is ok. Avgas is ok. No
I finally got around to posting a video on youtube of my flap and spoiler
system. Check it out and watch it run. Still have a little tweeking to do.

about) weight and 100lbs more than the lightest ones reported in the

I guess the next learning questions are
what adds weight over original? do pre-molded wing

I think there are a few minor differences:
- It's not his airplane
- He's wearing a parachute, maybe even an ejection seat
- He has really
