Sorry, but I don't have a good solution for replacing the longerons, but I can
show you why you have the cracks in the place you have them. If you look at the
two bottom images on this side http://go-design.no/images2.html, you can see
that the curvature on the original drawings is high in

For a straight wing tapering from 48 to 36 inches; when quarter chord
sweep is straight, the leading edge of the tip spar is 3 inches behind
the leading edge of the root spar.
It does not matter where the actual wing spar is located and what angle
it has. ( but I believe on the KR it should be
KR2 standard wing with RAF48 airfoil.
Dihedral at bottom of wing: 3.64 deg.
Dihedral at wing chord: 3.05 deg.
Dihedral at wing center: 2.93 deg.
Dihedral at top of wing: 2.21 deg.

For the plans, you could try

I think it is quite complete.

Hi all,
Does anyone know the differences in weight and (engine) cg location of a
VW (Aeroconversions 2180) and an O200 installation ?

Hi Todd,
Look forward to see your new design. I'm doing the same thing myself.
If you want to, I can host your images on my site
http://www.go-design.no/index.html or http://images.go-design.no/

Welcome to the list, and the best source of KR information, John.
I have not seen anything about v tails before, as for the airfoil, I
think this will explain most of it.

Hi guys,
Good to see that you got the graphic you asked for Todd.
Thanks for all nice comments to my cad model. Hopefully (with a lot of
work) my KR will look equally nice when finished.

Hi, and thanks for all feedback.
Looks like the Bingelis books are the ones to get then.
I've seen some of the videos on the EAA site, great resource there as well.

Hi All,
I have looked through a LOT of webpages and found several books to read
before starting a new (first) project. My list of books are now getting
long ... very long...
The big question is now: What book(s) are generally known to be the
homebuilders "bible", that has the most useful
and experiences, it would be
highly appreciated
Thanks !

I try to reach Rand Robinson Engineering for buying a set of KR-2S
plans, but get no answer on neither fax nor phone.
Any suggestions anyone ?
Thanks.

Thanks Dan ! I will try them as well. They reduce stall speed by 8-9 %
on a C172, so they certainly helps.

KIAS (40mph)
My question: Is it possible to get the Vn0 down to 35KIAS with the help
of flaps / winglets etc. ?
All help and suggestions are highly appreciated.
Thanks !
