Oh really? You may just want to reconsider that! A few years ago

Literally the same thing happened to me when on my way to OSH a few
years back. I was in a Glasair 1 FT

Inexpensive ADS-B
Joe,
I was able to find the attached article. It does include a proper antenna for
this setup.

Interesting and informative article. I tried to post an email earlier today
with step-by-step instructions and a picture of my setup. Has to be
approved by Admin due to size. It really is easier than even this article
shows. With the correct OTG cable and dongle and Avare ADS-B Pro, you plug
it in

I have a Nexus 10 tablet running Avare. The ADS-B app is 2.99 and the other
cable and antenna are less than $20 on Amazon.com. Other than the cost of
the tablet (already had), I have moving maps with ADS-B for under $25.
Thought I would post my experience with the inexpensive ADS-B in solution that
showed up on the EAA web site. I'm the third pilot in our EAA chapter to put
together the kit. All three of us have been successful in getting it to run per
the instructions on the web site with little difficultly.
