I am trying to find a magazine article that was on the Internet regarding
the KR. From memory it's main title was something like "Build an airplane
for under $10,000"
Does anyone recall this?
Thanks.

I have been checking all the Sport Aviation and Popular Mechanics links but
no luck. I'll keep looking and post when I find it.

If it's an article on KRs, it's almost certainly on Don Reid's site at
http://aerofoilengineering.com/KR/sportaviation/kr_SA.htm .
Mark
In fact, the one at
http://aerofoilengineering.com/KR/sportaviation/Kr95-9.HTM has both Troy
Petteway and Bobby Muse's plane featured, which is the plane that was
offered for sale yesterday...

Had a look at Don's site but it's not any of those articles.
I may have emailed the link to a friend of mine. I'll get in touch with him
and see if he still has it.

Darren,
I've got the EAA sport Avaition on CD from 1953-2003. I just searched the
title index for "under $10,000" and came up with no matches. Then I asked
for a full text search for "under $10,000". It found 14 matches that I have
copied below. Do any of these articles jog your memory?
Bob.
Thanks so much for searching out all those articles.
Unfortunately none of them ring a bell.
I am driving myself nuts trying to find the article. I want to find it and
pop a link to it on my upcoming web site, because this is the article that
inspired me to research and now build a KR2S.

I seem to recall an article along those lines and guessing
Darren:
I might have the article you are looking for. I have in front of me an issue
of Kitplanes magazine which features Roy Marsh's KR-2S on the front cover.
The eight page article states on page 1 "It could be built and flown for less
than $10,000 fully equipped." Could that possibly be
That sounds very much like it Bob!
I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much for looking.
