Larry: nice choice of colors for your engine. Seems like we think alike.
Here's how my A75 overhaul turned out after Jeff Scott's hands and wrenches
were all over it:

Re: KR> In-flight Fire

2017-01-30 Thread bjoenunley via KRnet
I don't worry a lot about fire, never have.  I do wear a fire retardant long
sleeve shirt most of the time in the winter to keep me warm, but it probably
won't do much good if it got real hot.  A fire extinguisher and a parachute is
probably the best option for in flight fire response but a parachute wouldn't
fit in my cockpit.  I do know of one guy who used a parachute to save his life,
not to fire though. He told me the story himself.
P.S. I got a gopro camera today.  All you with videos made me want one.
Be safe.

Terrible as it is, he is the luckiest guy around. Kept his head straight.
Better to recover from an injury than the alternative.
And mine has a header tank. May have to rethink things.

I never liked header tank in the KR and planned to leave it out. I
also vote to get the fuel way out in the wings. And wear a chute.
