I can't believe the progress I made this weekend in about 8 hours of
time. The only help I had was to drive out the piston pins and lift
the case off the mount. I hope to split the case in the next few days.

measure the aileron travel to see how close to
full travel you have before your leg stops the
stick. Unless you do an aileron roll you'll
seldom ever use full left or right stick while in
flight. Even an aggressive turn will require maybe have stick throw.

Having said that I don't have ram air either but use a small 12 volt
fan from a battery charger on the inside of the firewall to pull air
to the cockpit. A carbon monoxide detector patch on the panel would

attached to the top side of one arm with a small spacer and the other
to the bottom side of the other arm with a small spacer, thus
separating the cables at crossover. Another option would be to
connect the cables to the bellcrank beyond the crossover point with
thin lengths of metal.
