That zenith carb sold by Great Plains is VERY suitable for VW power. I have 
used them on 1800 to 2200 CC engines with excellent results and reliability. 
Trust the experience and expertise of Steve Bennet of Great Plains.

They work very well for low level flight, where you probably will not need 
mixture control.  In fact, if you don?t care about having mixture control, they 
work very well.  I have a friend who flew with one for years and it never gave 
him a problem.  However, he never flew above 3500 feet.



My main objection to the way some do mixture on that, is the ?cobbling? up of 
something that makes it not dependable.  Be sure you have carb heat ready and 
don?t hesitate to use it.

I have had good success using the speedometer cable style adjustment on my 
Zenith carb.

With 238 hours to date, I have not had any issues with this method.

Looks a little unconventional but works fine.
