Anybody heard anything good or bad about the ICOM A-200? I've finally become convinced that my Terra has a modulation problem (I can talk clearly for a hundred and fifty miles, but everybody complains about my radio when I'm within three miles of the airport), so I'm going to swap it out with

Mark can you put a dummy load on the radio to reduce the radius it will transmit when you get in close. We use to do that with ham radios and CB's years ago it acted like you cut the power in half. That way people in close could hear you but farther out they could not. Im not

Mark I have a A-200 that I got for my project.I got thru Wicks and done a lot of research on them.They are nice radios,but I was told by everyone I talk to not to waist money on the higher priced one for certified aircraft.They are the same radio.Everyone I talked with said they work

If you can afford the price a Garmin 250 will give you a great radio with a nice GPS I have a 250 and the 300 and really like them. Have had no problem with the 250 for about 3.5 years and 2 years with the 300. The difference between the to is the 300 is IFR approved with the right installation.
