I bought a project that was started in the late '70's that was mostly in
good shape with some minor issues. One of the things I am looking at is the
overall geometry of the boat. Tonight I found the "center" of the firewall
and tail and ran a string between the two. The reason I did this is because
the tail 'sprit' appears out of plane by about 10 degrees (as viewed from
above or below). In looking at it further the whole thing seems to be out of
square (as viewed from the top or bottom) by about two to five degrees
(think trapezoid). It is "straight"; i.e., measurements from the string
centerline are even all the way down within about 1/8".

My plan is for a wing span of about 23' with a 1' addition in width to the
H/S. It is a standard KR-2. Is this issue a show stopper, or can I rig
around it?

Thanks,
