H, hasn't been a problem with my pipes. I put cabin heat in last
winter (and love it!). I put a shroud along the pipe that runs back from
the left front cylinder
I used Jet Hot on the exhaust that is on the VW engine that I happen to have
up for sale. I can tell you that the exhaust external temperature is far
less than without the coating and the exhausts are still in good condition
after many years.
