"I hope the weather Gods do cooperate."

I just checked and "Big Chief No Cloud" has done his dance. Through
Saturday morning (as far as my site goes out) nothing but sunshine,
upper 50's for lows, low 80's for highs, winds out of the NNE less than
ten and chance of precipitation 12% or less. I sure hope the guessers
are right.

 I drove cross country from Scappoose Ore. And arrived this morning in Mt.
Vernon for the gathering. I hope the weather Gods do cooperate.

I contacted EAA about that some time ago, and they told me that a person can
win only one award for their plane and once winning that award, cannot win
it again in future years.  However, I go with whatever Larry says.  No way
is perfect and you gotta go with what works best for you.  Larry has done an
AWESOME job over the years.  I have always felt a little sad for him, having
to do all the work while we were having all the fun.  Now, he will get to
have some fun too.  It is great to see people stepping up to the plate
again, to host the Gathering.

In light of these concerns, and as host of the
Gathering, the individual awards this year will
be presented to the KR that scored the highest in
each individual area and if one KR takes home all
the awards, including "people's choice" and
"greatest distance flown", then so be it.  THEY
WERE ALL DESERVED.  If the goal of our awards
program is to promote ingenuity of design and
quality of workmanship, I personally see this as our only option.

 Hey everyone
 I enjoy the krnet very much, the people are friendly and don't care to help 
people out when they need info on build their airplane. I realize that I am new 
to this list. I like the ideal that you move the meeting place every 2 years. 
When you do that people from all over has a chance to see everyones airplanes 
and talk to them in person.
 On the other hand I can see having it at the same place, for instance look at 
sun and fun or Oshgosh there is a lot of people goes them once  a year. I would 
like to see a gethering down here in Florida at the Gilbert Field here in 
Winter Haven Florida. I am sure that a lot of you know the field because this 
field is packed when the sun and fun is going on.They also have a eaa chapter 
over there but I think that they are buliding RV's Thanks for reading my post
