Breezy works. The problem is, altough, that breezy-amd64 live cd does
not present this driver, and fails to load X. It could fall back to
vesa, provided that it misses via_drv.o.

I can have experienced some thing similar to this with Kubuntu Dapper
Flight 2 i386. I selected English as a language and German as keyboard
layout. But in xorg.config xkb layout is us not de.

I am having the same problem. I'm using KDE3.5 packages, although I
think the same thing was happening with older version.
For me kmix always defaults to first channel, PCM, which does not seem
to control anything

To be honest, first of all, there is no such package like w32codecs in
Ubuntu/Kubuntu. Second, it's the xine backend. And third I can't test

HOWEVER, due to Bug 12097, just selecting Thunderbird doesn't actually
