Shouldn't the image be formatted to the smallest screen height/width
ratio you expect, then stretched to 100% of the screen width and the
height scaled the same and cropped?
To cover 4:3, 16:10 and 16:9 screens, you'd format the image 4:3 and set
width = "100%" height="scale".
That would not work
I still have this problem with all updates applied as of today (jaunty/KDE
4.2.1). I had started with alpha5 and continuously applied all updates.
Does this also exist in vanilla alpha6? If yes, I wouldn't mind reinstalling.
Is there anything else we can do to get this fixed?

Until the patch hits, according to the upstream bug, it looks like this
feature was mis-implemented to mean the exact opposite of what it meant

Jonathan, kde 4.2.2 should make jaunty and give this fix for free...it should
