confirmed. The problem still exists with updates with 4.3 / Jaunty.

I can confirm this. The bug still exists in
0.1~svn1002781-0ubuntu2~jaunty1~ppa1.
So you still need the gnome applet (or wicd or manual configured
wpa_supplicant) to connect to many university networks.

Hi,
actually it works installing the 'kdenetwork-filesharing' package in addition
to samba (since it isn't pulled automatically).

I'm not sure how you ended up with the kubuntu-ppa backports, but the
official backports[1] are the recommended way for running the latest
Amarok now. Confusing I know, and I only just recently found out that
this is the preferred method and don't know of the right place to make
that information

You're right, I was a bit surprised too. But backports has 2.1.1 and
the PPA only 2.1.0 so that's my interpretation of the reason for the
recommendation now. Here's a comment by an Amarok upstream
representative [1].

Does Arora support NPAPI at all ? A quick check looks like no, as Arora
doesn't see the plugin installed in the traditional places, Currently we
have no direct web-kit support, although it'd be nice to add one of
these days...

Now the one used to work the WEP one is also not connecting, nothing
happens when I click the on the wireless connection. I am using plasma-
