I was having the same problem described here, exactly. The krandrtray
workaround worked; running xrandr -s 1680x1050 (in my case) worked; but
I didn't like the way the login started out wrong, and then flickered a
bit after logging in before the resolution was right.
However, I managed to solve
+1 from me - the kde bug report indicates this should be fixed in svn versions
after 101* for knetworkmanager and for the plasma-widget-networkmanagement. Can
you guys please provide an update?
Thanks

[karmic regression] cannot connect to wireless network
KHC is a load of crap and needs a rewrite altogether, no need to track
the individual crappyness of each feature (bug?) so I am closing this
report as Won't Fix. Though be assured that I will poke whoever seems to
have the capabilities to create a new khelpcenter into doing so.

Still not working with hidden networks (but one can make the net visible
just once, connect, then re-hide). When using manual Ip settings
/etc/resolv.conf gets empty: I had to use dhcp. But now i can connect
with a pure kde installation, before I had to use networkmanager with
nm-applet: worked

Comment #9 worked for me also.
Thanks Alex Perry.

Hi Jeff,
I completely uninstalled Kpilot from Synaptic, rebooted, reinstalled
Kpilot and got the same crash error. I copied and pasted the backtrace
from the crash handler...
Application: KPilot (kpilot), signal SIGSEGV
