now and be available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here.

Binary package hint: digikam
When starting digikam in Gnome, it fails to connect to the USB camera with the
following error dialog:
Failed to connect to the camera. Please make sure it is connected properly and
turned on. Would you like to try again?
[Retry] [Abort]
Digikam could offer better help/workaround in this case:
